Check Out the Moves

As some of you may know, I have started doing pilates this year. For those of you that are not familiar with this technique of exercise, it is a series of stretches and body movements that increase flexibility and strength. Since most of it involves using your own body and gravity to work out muscles many exercises are done with your legs in the air. I guess Lily has been watching me and is picking up on some moves herself.

Here Lily is doing the "single straight leg"

This is a classic "roll up" if I ever saw one

Lily is in the rolling phase of "the seal"

General Conference was this week and it was Lily's first. We are extremely lucky to be able to stay at home for the broadcast since we live here in Utah, so it was easier to manage all the feedings, diaper changes, and naps. Tobby has been traveling a lot the last couple weeks and so subsequently had gotten behind on his homework. He stayed up all night doing a book report on Friday night and then had to go to his marriage class early Saturday morning. Right after that he went to the testing center to take a math test. The poor thing didn't get home until about 2 or 3 pm after being gone since 7:30 am. He was able to catch up on some sleep though, and spend all Sunday watching conference with us.

Lily intently listened to Henry B. Eyring's talk

You can't tell in this picture, but Lily kept trying to sing when she heard the Mormon Tabernacle Choir

While Grandpa Harward was at the priesthood session of conference, and Tobby was getting some much needed sleep, Lily and I went over to the Harwards to hang out with Grandma Harward, Jodie, and Grandma Thomas. Lily had a bath and I had to show these cute picures of her bath time.

Lily was also trying to crawl while we were over there. She will put her face down and her bum in the air and then push off with her feet and scoot on her tummy. At this rate she might crawl before she rolls over! This is what it looks like.

On Sunday we visited both sides of the family and Lily showed her new skill of holding her feet to all. She has learned to roll over on her side while holding her feet and I'm so proud of her. She has also learned to suck on her toes, so good thing she has clean feet!

That's my little munchkin!

She is seriously going to be crawling in no time, watch out! Give her lots of kisses from us and a wet one from Emmy.
