St. George, Here We Come

Everyone needs a vacation every once and a while. Tobby came home from work one day and announced that he needed one pretty badly, so we called my friend Allison down in St. George. She has been wanting us to visit since she moved there a few years ago, but we just haven't ever made the time until now. She was gratious enough to let us stay at her place and we had a blast. We mostly hung out with Allison and her 2 year old daughter Kennedy since her husband, Rob, had to work pratically the entire weekend. Here's a highlight of some of the activities we participated in while there:

Lily really enjoyed playing with Kennedy's toys

Apparently Kennedy never really pays attention to babies after the initial greetings, but she loved playing with Lily and Lily loved her as well. It was so fun to see her socializing with no hitting or crying taking place.

Lily loves kisses on the cheek from her new friend

One of the many perks of staying with Rob and Allison is that they have a neighborhood pool next door to their house. We enjoyed taking a dip in the cool water since the temperatures reached into the 100's.

We had the opportunity to see Les Miserables, my favorite play, at Tuacahn. For those of you who have never been to this theatre, it is amazing! It is outdoors and the stage backdrop is a beautiful red rock cliff face. Even though it was hot, it was great. Our friend Kevin Goertzen played Enjolas who is the ring leader and motivator of the rebels. Good job, Kev! You did an amazing job.
